1. ROOMS ARE STILL AVAILABLE
at the host hotel (Front Royal Quality Inn) as of 5/8/18. Some
people have been told that these reduced-rate rooms are sold
out. This is not true. Another block of rooms has been reserved.
BE SURE TO MENTION you're with the Hudson Club.
2. The private room at the Main
Street Mill, 500 East Main St., Front Royal -- for our Thursday
night early-bird get-together -- is now full! All those
registering now, may dine in the main dining room. However, feel
free to wander into our reserved room and mingle with your friends
during dinner! Start time is 6:00 PM.
3. The location of the Blue Ridge
Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company -- site of Saturday's dinner
and Eastern Region business meeting -- is off Route 7, not
Route 50 as stated in the flyer. We apologize for this mistake!
4. Two antique auto events take
place in the area, on Friday and Saturday: the Vair
Fair (for Corvairs) in nearby Winchester, and the Mid-Atlantic
Pre-War Swap Meet in Luray.
5. The bad-weather alternative
for the Friday social gathering and potluck (usually held at
the 4H Center) will be the banquet room of the Quality Inn in
Front Royal (the host hotel).
6. SATURDAY SCHEDULE CHANGE:
The social hour begins at 4:30PM at the Blueridge fire hall.
Dinner begins at 5:30PM. The Annual Business Meeting of the Eastern
Region will now be held at the end of the dinner, approximately
7. Our Saturday driving tour
is scheduled to make stops at a private non-Hudson car collection,
the Virginia State Arboretum, the restored mill at Millwood,
the town of Middleburg, the restored mill at Aldie, and the car
collection at the mountaintop home of an H-E-T member, before
arriving at the Bluemont fire hall where we'll have a social
hour followed by dinner, and the Eastern Region Business Meeting.
Each driver will receive printed directions, and will be able
to travel at his/her own speed, and choose to see any or all
of the stops. We'll travel over scenic country roads. Alternatively,
attendees may visit the Virginia
Wine & Craft Festival in Front Royal for all or part
of the day.
